of the world are watching to see what will happen next between israel and hamas. but for now, the rockets just keep flying. and it's civilians who are caught in the cross fire. hamas says ten members of the same family were killed during an israeli air strike in gaza, their house reduced to rubble. israel says it was targeting a top militant. on the other side of the border, air raids sounded in israel's largest city for the third time in as many days. but the rocket aim for tel aviv was intercepted. cnn's cedrick prankins was where air raid sirens went off. one sounded when i was on the air with cnn international anchor colleen mcedwards. here's what happened. >> reporter: the crews working on the ground and that seems to indeed be part of all of the rocket that has handed here. people here spend most of their days indoors -- there is another attack. there's another rocket alert going on right now. we've got to get out of here. >> okay, go, fred. there you see it, a strike in ashca lan, just a short time ago, we're seeing pictures there, we've got the pictures you up as fred and our camera cr

to tell you about this morning, and israel promising to ramp up attacks on gaza after militants continued their assault on the country. hamas firing at least one missile at tel aviv overnight, but israeli officials say that it was intercepted by their iron dome. the israeli military responded with air strikes hitting two media centers in the gaza strip area at least five palestinians were killed. israel says they'll launch more targeted and deadly attacks at rocket launching sites and hamas commanders if it continues. a deadly attack in thailand hours before president obama's visit. he's there kicking off the first leg of his visit in asia, two were killed after detonating a bomb at a train. the second attack, one person died when a motorcycle bomb exploded. a such continues for the remaining crew member missing from the oil rig explosion in the gulf of mexico. the body of the other missing crew member was found by the drivers after the coast garden terd the search. and the coast guard says no oil leaked from the platform, concerns that this would be another disaster just like the explosi

on the gaza border. leland vittert has the latest. leland? >> reporter: chris, israel is very much a country on the brink of war. we have seen hundreds, if not thousands of tanks and personally carriers, ready to push into the gaza strip, in a moment's notice, because the airstrike simply did not stop the rockets flying outf gaza, towards israel. and the iron dome intercepted a number of those rockets today. however, about 8 or 10 got through, causing a half dozen injuries inside of southern israel. and, for the israelis, the airstrikes continued pounding away, day five of hitting the gaza strip, so far the airstrikes killed 50-plus people, half of them civilians, including a number of children and the air forces hit almost a thousand targets, and, leveled much of hamas's infrastructure, inside of the gaza strip. as for the ground war, which certainly caused more civilian casualties, a major escalation. israel called up 30,000 reservists and they are on the borders now, infantry and their tanks, simply waiting for the "go" order to head in and the israeli prime minister is willing to escalat
